WEAVE Projects
Community Engagement | Audience Engagement
Weaving people, stories, creativity and communities together.
Meaningful community engagement doesn't happen by chance. It is thoughtfully designed through relationships, creativity and opportunities for people to connect in authentic ways.
I specialise in conceiving, curating, producing and leading creative engagement initiatives that connect communities and audiences through meaningful cultural experiences. Working across the arts, culture and community sectors, I design programs that encourage participation, build relationships and create lasting social and cultural impact.
My work includes developing, curating and producing workshops, public programs, exhibitions, artist residencies, talks, conferences, community projects and long-term cultural initiatives, including:
Workshops and masterclasses
Community programs
Artist talks and panel discussions
Public programs
Conferences and symposiums
Creative activities
Exhibitions
Participatory projects
Long-term cultural initiatives
Rather than focusing on one-off events, I believe in creating opportunities for ongoing engagement—projects that are human-centred, inclusive and responsive to the unique character of a community. The most successful creative programs build trust over time, creating lasting connections between people, place and culture.
While my practice has a strong foundation in contemporary textiles and fibre, the concept of WEAVE extends well beyond material practice. It represents the interconnected contributions of individuals, communities and organisations working together toward a shared outcome. Every participant brings their own knowledge, stories and perspectives, enriching the whole.
This collaborative approach can be applied across a broad range of creative disciplines and community contexts, from cultural development and placemaking to public programming, exhibitions and audience engagement.
If you're looking to develop a creative project that connects people in meaningful and lasting ways, I'd love to discuss how we can work together.
